Adding Height and Light Brings New Life to This Ranch Style Home

Ranch style homes from the 1950’s are known for their low ceilings, closed kitchens and formal living rooms. We just don’t live in our homes the way we once did. We worked with this family to raise the roof. Walls of glass in contemporary forms bring much-needed light into the rear living and dining spaces overlooking a serene grassy and forested landscape. We also added an extension on the home with a vaulted ceiling and a sun room with access to a new outdoor entertainment space.
